World Series of Poker 2008 To-Do List – December Edition

The holiday season is rich with poker-playing opportunities both live action and online. The WSOPC Ladies $230 NLHE championship hits Harrah’s on December 2nd. The Betfred UK Women’s Tour hits Birmingham for its Grand Final on December 8th. The WPT heads to the Bellagio for the Five Diamond and Doyle Brunson North American Poker Classic – the Main Event starts on December 12th. The EPT visits Prague from the 10th – 14th of the month.
Of course, we prefer staying close to home at this time of the year. You know – family comes first and all of that. That’s why we recommend two fantastic online tournament opportunities this month. You don’t need to get out of your jammies or living room to play your favorite game.
1) The Ultimate Bet Online Championship – This ten-day festival of online poker features poker pro Annie Duke. She’ll be making appearances at some of the events – well, we hope she will, AND Annie is going to provide final table commentary LIVE. 2) The European Ladies Championship 2 – Join Europe’s best and brightest females in London next May (a full month before the Ladies WSOP Main Event) for the ELC 2, a televised tournament sponsored by Ladbrokes Poker. Last year’s winner, Jackie Meacham earned 15,000 pounds for her effort. Qualifiers are running at Ladbrokes now for just $5!
