Player Profile - Vanessa Rousso

Born on February 5, 1983 in White Plains, NY, Vanessa Rousso, a dual citizen of the US and France, has been playing poker since she was a child. The intelligent young woman, who speaks fluent French and proficient Spanish in addition to English, graduated from prestigious Duke University in two and a half years. She earned a major in econonmics and a minor in political science in addition to her extracurricular activities and charity work.
A recipient of the Chaplin Scholarship, which provides her with full tuition, Rousso then moved onto the University of Miami School of Law where she's on the Dean's List and the Law Review among other things.
Obviously Vanessa's motivation and academic scholarship serve her well on the felt. She's intelligent and aggressive. Since bursting onto the live action circuit in 2006, she's placed 5th at the World Poker Challenge, cashed in multiple World Series of Poker Circuit Events, taken seventh place at the World Poker Tour Championship Bellagio and made bank at the WSOP. Vanessa has also appeared at the WPT Ladies Night IV and the Poker After Dark Ladies tournaments.
Currently dating fellow pro, Chad Brown, Rousso plays online exclusively at PokerStars. She made the final table at the WCOOP Main Event earlier this year and has been busy travelling the world with PokerStars. This includes stops at the APPT and EPT tournament series held by the online poker room. Although she hasn't won a Big One y et, we know it's just a matter of time before she does.
