Shannon Elizabeth, the beautiful model turned actress who now mostly plays poker, had a great year in 2007. Originally making her mark as a sexy foreign exchange student in “American Pie”, the brown-eyed lovely first hit the poker circuit on shows like Bravo’s “Celebrity Poker Showdown.” She is a fierce competitor with a natural card sense so it’s no surprise that she’s done well for herself.
This year she made headlines for finishing third at the 2007 National Heads-Up Poker Championships. She wasn’t easily defeated by Paul Wasicka, the eventual winner. Her performance was so good that she was amongst the first wave of invitees for the 2008 championship, which is slated for the end of February 2008.
Elizabeth also cashed at the World Series this summer. In the past two years, she has a total of four cashes in the WSOP. She made an appearance at the PartyPoker Women’s World Open. We hear that she’s just signed on with Full Tilt Poker so we know we’ll see more poker from this sexy celeb in ’08.
