The Rob and Amber Project

August 21, 2006 -

First, we watched them on their individual seasons of 'Survivor'. Amber was sweet. Rob was devious. Then, we watched them fall in love on 'Survivor: All Stars'. Many of us thought it was a clever strategy, but...when Rob proposed to Amber live at the televised finale of All Stars, which Amber won by the way, it was a very nice if surprising moment.

While engaged, Rob and Amber ticked off the other teams on the "Amazing Race 7". Then they got married in front of the cameras - and why not? Weddings are expensive! If a TV channel wanted to pay some of your nuptial expenses - you should take them up on the offer!?!

After that, the world figured Rob and Amber would slip away into Reality TV star obscurity, right? Nah! They've just been considering their options.

Apparently they found a perfect opportunity in the poker world. In January, the FOX Reality TV channel will begin airing episodes of "The Rob and Amber Project." They wacky newlyweds will be moving to Vegas where Rob will try his hand at becoming a poker pro.

Sounds like a natural career choice for Mr. Mariano, doesn't it?
