Carlos Mortensen knew he'd have a difficult time making it to the quarterfinals. He was seated at the same table as Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu. It was his last chance to make it ... and, with two of the toughest players in the world standing in his way, the Matador might not have liked his chances.

Well, maybe he did!

When all was said and done, Carlos Mortensen was the last man standing. He was also the last addition to the quarterfinal round. Carlos joins Freddy Deeb, Johnny Chan, Todd Brunson, Antonio Esfandiari, Mike Matusow, Jeff Shulman, Cardplayer's CEO, and Gus Hansen in the next round.
