As you may know from this press release, the Card Player Player of the Year Awards, sponsored by Bodog.com, were held in Hollywood on February 15th. This is Poker's first mainstream awards show and was a true Red-Carpet event. Brad Garrett of "Everybody Loves Raymond" fame - and a pretty decent poker player himself - was the host of the event which took place at the Henry Ford Music Box Theatre.
Here's the run-down of the winnners. Congrats to each and every one of them, especially Men Nguyen who took home the Player of the Year honors for the 4th time in his career!

- Best Cash Game Player - Chip Reese
- Poker Ambassador - Mike Sexton
- Best No-Limit Player - Phil Ivey
- Most-Entertaining Player - Mike Matusow
- Lifetime Achievement Award – Doyle Brunson
- Best Heads-Up Player - Phil Ivey
- Best Mixed-Game Player - Chip Reese
- Breakthrough Player - Michael Gracz
- Most-Feared Player - Phil Ivey
- Most-Underrated Player - Allen Cunningham
- Best Female Player - Jennifer Harman
- People’s Choice Award for Favorite Player – Daniel Negreanu
- People’s Choice Award for Favorite Celebrity Player – Jennifer Tilly
