Paris Hilton has recently said that she is a winning poker player. Of course, she also said that she wants to stay away from dating for one year so she can focus more on herself. Paris has been playing the game for a short period of time.
She was probably introduced to the game via her fashion designer sister, Nicky and Nicky's beau, Kevin Connolly (of HBO's Entourage). The two hosted a faboo New Year's Eve poker tourney at Caesar's new poker room. They've also played at DoylesRoom as celebrity guests in the weekly bounty tourney.
We at Chicksnchips.com don't dispute the pop tart one little bit. We've decided to go undercover and learn Paris Hilton's secrets to playing winning poker. So, without further ado, here's a smattering of the advice we picked up from the 'Simple Life' socialite.
- After you check out your hole cards, say, "That's hot." It doesn't matter what you're holding. You say it all the time because otherwise it could be a tell.
- Snap some bubble gum really loudly while thinking about how to act on your hand. It really makes the other people at the table happy because Bubble Gum is a happy food - and it has NO calories.
- Always play a suited 69. Or is it an un-suited 69? Who cares? It's really a good idea to play 69 all the time because it's everyone's favorite number. It's very lucky.
- Ask the guys at the table if they saw your latest video and watch them throw you their chips. (Hey, we meant music video. What are y'all thinking?)
- Wear the most expensive and lowest cut designer dresses while playing poker. It is guaranteed to make you and every guy at the table a winner.
- Stroke your chip pile every so gently. It's best if the chips are kept in one big pile. Wink and smile before tossing in your chips. Lick them if you feel like it. It's okay. They're not THAT dirty. And a little dirty at the table can go a long way.
