NLOP's Spring Tournament

Remember when we chatted with Tracy Becker? She's the gal who won the Milwaukee's Best Light Texas Hold'em Challenge a few months ago. She did so at NLOP. NLOP is a free poker site that has promos and tournaments and other cool stuff. My husband, John, aka SunTzu, won their Holiday freeroll in early January.
Anyhoo, I've been playing a lot at NLOP for the past few weeks. They're running their spring tournament. Each day you get 2,000 points for just logging into the site. You can then play 10-player sit n gos for 300 points with a chance to win up to 1500 points! There are also a slew of multi-table touraments for a variety of buy-ins. Each weeknight you can play for Big Money - yup, the winner gets $100.00 and thousands of points to take to the weekly championship.
On Sunday afternoons, the top 500 point winners get to play in that Weekly Championships. My husband made it to the top 50 the first week and has an automatic in to the Spring Championship, along with 299 other players. I still haven't made my way in yet. Haven't played the past two weeks. Been doing other stuff on Sundays. Family comes first, right?
The winner of the weekly championship gets a $1500 prize pack to the World Series of Poker. That's enough for the buy-in to the Ladies Championship, y'all! The SPRING CHAMPIONSHIP CHAMP wins a Main Event prize pack!
I can honestly tell you that the competition at NLOP isn't insurmountable. In fact, at times, it can be downright bad. I've lost with my pocket rockets to the whopper of a 3,8. Oh yes!
If you can handle the more than occasional suckout and really play with patience, you have a good shot of at least making it to the weekly tourney. Since, as I mentioned before, NLOP is a free site - what have you got to lose?
