The Asia Pacific Poker Tour recently completed its highly successful first season in Sydney, Australia. To celebrate, event sponsor’s PokerStars held a special tournament of champions featuring winners on the APPT tour including Brett Parise (Manila), Grant Levy (Sydney), Ziv Bachar (Seoul) and Eric Assadourian (Macau High Roller Event). Also sitting in with Isabelle were former WSOP Main Event champs Greg Raymer (2004), Chris Moneymaker (2003), Scotty Nguyen (1998) and Joe Hachem (2005). Hachem eventually took down the event, earning $50,000 for The Shane Warne Foundation, which distributes funds to already established charities that help seriously ill and underprivileged children.
The newly blonde and always beautiful Isabelle was playing for the ALS Research Foundation, an organization dedicated to lead the fight to cure and treat as well as empower those with ALS, aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Unfortunately, the Canadian’s day ended early. Right before the first break, on a flop of Ad,3d,9d, the 2004 WPT Ladies Night champ re-raised Fossilman Raymer all-in. He called and flipped over a made flush with the 4d,7d. Isa needed help to remain in the game and didn’t get any.
Maybe next time.
