Divorce in the Cards for Negreanu
November 30, 2007 - Domenica DiPiero
Last week, Daniel Negreanu made the announcement courtesy of his blog at Full Contact Poker that he and his wife of nearly two years, Lori Lin Weber, have decided to split up. The decision was mutual, and the parting is amicable. In fact, Daniel says “The decision to split could not have gone any smoother.” They “get along great and enjoy each other’s company” but they just “aren’t right for each other.”
The couple is doing fine. “They’re getting along great.” There have been no “arguments.” Sure, they still have “some minor details to iron out,” but are “both living single lives now as friends.”
Lori spent the Thanksgiving holiday with her family and Daniel headed home to Canada to play in Toronto’s Grey Cup.
Daniel has no plans to find anyone new at this juncture. He’s content to play with his ‘toys’ and his friends. He’s also excited to get back into the game full throttle. He skipped Foxwoods to make sure that matters were well in hand so he could focus on poker. He’s gearing up for the Five Diamond at the Bellagio in early December and the Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure in January. He’s also been “logging a few more hours in online” and his game “is as good fundamentally as it’s ever been.”
We wish Daniel luck in his personal life and continued success with the game.
