Absolute Poker

Overall
AbsolutePoker is a very good mid-sized online poker room. They have quality software which totes some very advanced features like hand stats, find a player, and avatar customizing. At Absolutepoker.com, you'll find some excellent action at the tables. The competition is quite soft - there's a high view flop percentage at AP.com, especially at the lower stakes games. Currently, Absolutepoker's traffic is slightly limited (600-800 real money ring game players) but it seems to be growing steadily!  Despite that fact, I'd say that there's always a nice amount of games going no matter what time of day - or game you play.  Tournament traffic is right up to par with 700-1100 players during peak hours, which is no mystery considering the superb choices of online poker tournaments they have running including 40 daily freerolls, which aren't limited to just Texas Holdem, y'all. All in all, I'd say that Absolute Poker is a great poker site!

Card Game Choices
A nice selection of games can be found at Absolute Poker.com. You can play Texas Holdem, Omaha (reg and H/L), and 7 Card Stud (reg and H/L). No Limit games abound in Texas Hold'em (with a few in Omaha H/L). There are also Pot-Limit games in Hold'em, Omaha & Omaha H/L at absolutepoker.

Gameplay
Absolute Poker has got good game!  The tables are mostly low limit stakes ($15/30 being the highest for every table except Holdem, which has $50/100 high). That's fine with me. I don't like playing the high stakes games online. No matter what game or what stakes you play there's a good  selection to be had at AbsolutePoker.com. You can always find people to play with, many of whom like to see more than a few flops!

Soft Competition
Considering the amount of low stakes tables, it's not hard to imagine why the competition at AbsolutePoker.com is so soft. That's not a bad thing. Oh no! To me - soft competition is profitable competition (potentially at least). AP has loads of tournament traffic which assures that you get some sharks in the fishbowl too. That makes absolutepoker a fun site for players of every skill  - and bankroll  - level.

I love AbsolutePoker's interface. It's fantastic - and so very easy to use. My mom could figure it out. It's not an insult - she's just not - how do you say - computer literate. The initial FREE download is simple, simple and simple. The graphics are excellent. The tables look comfy and cozy as if you could mosey on up to them with your drink in hand and relax - and play a few hands in comfort and luxury. Overall, playability at absolutepoker.com is excellent! I love the 'find a player', note taking, and hand statistics. Of course, I also enjoy the ability to view each table's flop percentages and hands-per-hour rates (via the lobby)! You can even upload your own personalized avatar. It takes 24 hours to be approved. Mine's oh-so-cute!

Rake
AP's rake is the industry standard (5% up to $3.00)! It's reasonable, especially considering their no flop, no drop policy. You know what that means, right? Absolute Poker won't take a rake on any hand that doesn't reach the flop! Blind stealers have yet another reason to do their worst (oh well! It's still a fair policy!)

Incentives
I was very impressed with the amount of promotions that Absolute Poker has up and running.  They really seem to want to give their players that little extra. As a player - and a businessperson, I appreciate this on many levels. AbsolutePoker.com doesn't have live chat or telephone support - although they do have live cashier and email support. The email support is fantastic - and fast! Honestly, I think you'll feel supported at AP. I can't give it a 10, of course; but, absolutepoker is above average in the industry as far as customer support goes.
